Gary S. Bochna has been associated with Rapid City Medical Center Department of Gastroenterology since 1987. He has been on the active staff at Rapid City Regional Hospital since 1987. Dr. Bochna is a native of Milwaukee, WI. He received his MD at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1982. His post graduate training in Internal Medicine was at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO. He then completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board in Internal Medicine and board certified in the subspecialty of Gastroenterology by the same board. He practices all areas of gastroenterology, with a particular interest in patients with liver disease as well as therapeutic biliary endoscopy. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and a Fellow in the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians. He is a former Governor for The American College of Gastroenterology for the state of South Dakota. Dr. Bochna is married to Sue and is the father of two daughters.
