I was born in Guangzhou, China, a metropolitan city very close to Hong Kong. I came to the United States to pursue undergraduate studies and obtained a PhD in pharmacology. My medical school training was in the Midwest, and my residency and fellowship training were in Southern California. I enjoy music. Violin used to be my favorite instrument, but now I am learning piano. I like to travel and exercise regularly.
