Dr. Ulmer received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina after completing undergraduate school at Clemson University. He completed his residency in family medicine at Self Regional Healthcare. He has extensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient care with a career that includes 10 years of obstetrics. He is interested in the patient’s needs with a focus on chronic disease management and prevention. He loves the broad scope of family medicine but has special interests in adolescent medicine, minor surgery and wellness. Since 2000, Dr. Ulmer has actively participated in the business aspects of medicine as a consultant to hospitals and medical groups in the eastern US. He currently speaks nationally on various topics in this field. He enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his wife and daughter, and is an active leader in his local church.
