As a highly-skilled and experienced orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Emmett McEleney serves his patients with dedicated attention to their needs. Before coming to Kingman in 2006, he was Chief of Staff and Medical Director of Orthopedics at Fairmont Medical Center/Mayo Health System and Associate Clinical Consultant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. McEleney says that while working in the Mayo system he experienced first-hand the significant benefits of its "patient comes first" culture. He explains that while a customer-service focus prevailed in most other industries in our country, it came relatively late in the medical sector. Dr. William J. Mayo helped revolutionize healthcare delivery with the philosophy that "the best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered." Dr. McEleney says that this value is ingrained in his approach to treating patients.
