My clinical interests are varied and are based on using image guidance to preform interventional radiology procedures. These procedures are done for establishing a diagnosis (such as biopsies, angiograms, venograms, etc.) but also for treatment (such as embolization to shrink abnormal tissue or stop bleeding, drainage of obstructed systems or infection, closure of abnormal veins, pain control related to some fractures, application of thermal energy to treat certain cancers, distribute chemotherapy to liver tumors, open stenotic or occluded vessels, place catheters/ports so that patients may receive dialysis, medications or chemotherapy, dissolve blood clots, etc.). My speciality allows me the privilege of interacting with and helping patients directly, but also gives me the opportunity to collaborate with many different kinds of physicians by serving as a consultant for solving diagnostic problems and providing interventional management for their patients.
