Dr. Ellen H. Chen is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she completed her Internal Medicine residency training. She received her Cardiovascular Medicine training at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and Interventional Cardiology training at Ohio State University.
Prior to joining Southlake Clinic, Dr. Chen was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at Ohio State University. She was also a faculty member at the Medical College of Wisconsin following completion of her Cardiovascular Medicine training.
Dr. Chen is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. In addition to general cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology, she also has interest in peripheral vascular disease. As a cardiovascular medicine specialist, she sees her role as that of an educator/advisor to help patients make informed choices about their cardiac health care in a respectful and trusting patient-physician relationship.
In her free time Dr. Chen enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, or just "hanging out" with family and friends.
