Dr. Elizabeth de Fluiter received her medical degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine, where she also completed a general surgery residency and research fellowship. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. de Fluiter served as administrative chief resident in the East Tennessee State University Department of Surgery from 2005-2006 and is currently a clinical assistant professor. Dr. de Fluiter enjoys all types of general surgery, but mostly enjoys hernia surgery, breast surgery and laparoscopic surgery. When not working, Dr. de Fluiter enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and three children, Abbie, Andrew and Megan.
