Dr. Nissenbaum is a Board Certified cardiologist who is working with Blessing Health System of Quincy. He comes from a long line of renowned physicians. His father was one of the inventors of the Endoscopy procedure in the 1960's and his aunt is currently the foremost authority on the physiology of the Langerhan's Cell (a type of dendritic cell which fights infection ). Dr. Nissenbaum himself has followed in those footsteps. In 1982, at age nineteen, he co-developed the Nissenbaum/Gyure serum protein assay, considered at the time, to be the most accurate serum protein test with a 96% recovery rate. In 1987, he attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1991 with three distinguished honors.
