Dr. Elaine Thompson grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and received both her BS and medical degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UAB. She is married to Dr. Ken Thompson, an emergency department physician at Baptist Hospital DeSoto. They reside in DeSoto County and have three children.
