Douglas R. Salmon, M.D., is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine. He specializes in invasive, intervention and noninvasive cardiology including treadmill exercise testing, stress echo cardiology, pharmacologic stress testing, carotid ultrasound, transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac catherization, PTCA, and critical care. Special areas of expertise include atrial tribullation and ambulatory management of congestive heart failure.
Dr. Salmon attended the University of Arizona to receive his medical degree and then completed an intership and residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio. His fellowship in cardiology took place at the University of Iowa, University Hospitals and Clinic. Dr. Salmon gained lecture and teaching experience over the years and is a member of several professional societies.
