Douglas F. Powell, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Orthopaedic Associates of the Lakelands, a physician practice of Self Regional Healthcare. Dr. Powell received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga., and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. He completed his residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Powell grew up in Athens, Ga. His personal interests include spending time with his wife and four children and traveling.
