Brief Intro

Dr. Conaway was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and spent most of his early life in Virginia and Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree at Rice University in Houston, Texas in 1972, and received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in 1975. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the University of Oregon Health Science Center in 1976, and then served five years as an Internal Medicine physician and flight surgeon in the United States Air Force in California, Greece, and New Jersey. He completed a Rheumatology Fellowship at Temple University of Medicine in Philadelphia in 1985 and then stayed with the faculty there until 1997, rising to the rank of Associate Professor of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
