Douglas Monette, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, in 1998. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, and he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Minnesota State University in Mankato. Dr. Monette is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Wisconsin Optometric Association, and specializes in the fields of scleral contact lenses and low vision aids. Dr. Monette’s early volunteer experience, as well as a mentor’s recommendation, led him to choose a career in optometry. He says he especially likes the pleasant work environment and having a manageable work-life balance. Dr. Monette is a military veteran with 26 years of service in the United States Navy, and he values serving the vision care needs of the community. In his free time away from the office, Dr. Monette enjoys working outdoors and has an interest in all types of motorsports.
