Dorothy Lin Yokoyama D.M.D. Specialist for Children & Teens Our child patients and parents like to call our children specialist Dr. Dorothy Lin Yokoyama (Dr. Dory). Although born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she fell in love with the city of Irvine while attending UC Irvine. She immediately moved back after graduating from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She then completed her residency in pediatrics dentistry at the University of Southern California in conjunction with Children's Hospital of Orange County and Healthy Smiles of Orange County. As a mother of a baby boy she understands the concerns that you as a parent may have and treats the kids as though they were her own. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family doing water sports at the beach and watching movies. Her goal is not only to treat the active decay but also to enable fearful and/or anxious children and adolescents to cope and have fun in a dental environment.
