I am Dr. Don Russell. I came to Western North Carolina in 1990 to begin allergy practice after finishing my fellowship at USF Tampa, Florida. I am board certified internal medicine and have completed nearly a 3-year program in immunology, allergy, and asthma. Fellowship was a bit unusual in that it had a heavy slant toward clinical immunology,and immune deficiency diseases. I have a special interest in the medical treatment of sinus disease, immunomdulation and vaccines, in addition to our usual interests as allergists in allergic diseases, asthma and allergic skin diseases. I am married, have three daughters, and now have two small grandchildren. I enjoy family activities, playing piano and violin, and occasionally getting out west for a long weekend of skiing.
