Dr. Amos received her medical education at the University of Washington, earning her MD in 1991 and receiving her Resident Physician (PM&R) training, 1991-1995. Her internship (1991-1992) included training in general medicine, emergency medicine, urology, neurology and neurosurgery. Her residency included training in musculoskeletal injury, spinal-cord injury, brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, prosthetics and orthotics, cardiac rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, and electro-diagnostic testing (needle EMG and nerve-conduction studies).
Dr. Amos previously worked as Attending Physiatrist at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, followed by five years as Attending Physiatrist in private practice in Seattle.
