Dr. David Schultz is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nura Pain Clinics (formerly MAPS Medical Pain Clinics). Dr. Schultz has been helping patients with chronic pain for the past 25 years.
He has been a full-time interventional pain specialist since 1995 and is an adjunct professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota. He is a certified board examiner for ABIPP.
He is a former board member and past president of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) and is currently Executive Director of the Minnesota Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (the MN chapter of ASIPP).
Dr. Schultz has taught many interventional pain courses over the years as an instructor for ASIPP, Spinal Intervention Society (SIS), Medtronic, and Abbott.
Apart from being the founder of Nura Research Institute; a clinical research center conducting phase I-IV clinical studies across a variety of therapeutic areas, he is a prolific author of medical articles and book chapters, a frequent speaker at national meetings, and is a principal investigator in pain research.
In addition, Dr. Schultz focuses on the functional and emotional aspects of chronic pain and involve our specialized physical therapists and psychologists as necessary to give patients their lives back!
