"I believe that every visit with a patient builds a relationship based on trust and understanding. My job as a physician is not to tell a patient what should be done, but to help guide him or her through a complex problem to provide the best individual care possible. I believe this should be a partnership where I can provide expertise and guidance as we decide together on the best appropriate care." - David Hotchkin, MD
Dr. Hotchkin graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine. He later completed his residency and became Chief Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Hotchkin finished his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine also at the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals. He currently focuses on Interstitial Lung Diseases, including Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), acute respiratory failure, critical care medicine, exercise physiology and other needs at The Oregon Clinic, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine division. Dr. Hotchkin brings the clinic several honors and awards including the Resident Excellence in Teaching Award. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
