David G. Cable, M.D. F.A.C.S. received his medical education from the University of Iowa. He did his residency of General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also did his fellowship of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Cable is board certified in General Surgery, as well as Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons as a fellow, a member of the American College of Cardiology as a fellow, and a member of the American College of Chest Physicians as a fellow. Dr. Cable is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Heart Association, Council of Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, the Priestly Society of the Mayo Clinic, the Society of Thoracic Surgery and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association.
Dr. Cable's interests include major operations of the heart, lung and blood vessels. He performs minimally invasive surgery whenever possible and he performs stent grafting of both thoracic and abdominal aneurysms.
