Dr.Valamanesh moved to the United States in the early 1980's and has lived in southern California since 1994. He became a General Physician in his original country Iran, and did his Internship and Residency at New York Medical College in New York City. He later did a Fellowship in Endocrinology at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Since joining the Chaparral Medical Group in 1988, Dr. Valamanesh has had a busy practice in both General Medicine and Endocrinology.
In addition to his expertise in handling primary care ailements, he performs office procedures involving joint injections, skin biopsies, and foot care. Fine needle aspiration thyroid biopsies under ultrasound are also done in-office.
Much of his endocrinology clinic is devoted to treating diabetes. His team includes an on-site nutritionist and diabetes educator who aids patients in insulin injections, insulin pumps, nutritional programs and weight loss. His endocrine clinic also manages other hormonal problems such as low testosterone, high cholesterol, and erectile dysfunction. His staff is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Valamanesh has hospital privileges in most local hospitals including Pomona Valley Hospital and San Antonio Community Hospital. He is member of the American Medical Association, American Diabetic Association, Endocrine Society and International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
Dr. Valamanesh is married and has a son. His hobbies are snow skiing, jogging, and biking. His favorite pastime is watching professional football.
