Dr. Daniel Robert Cronk, Jr., received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. After completing his general surgery internship and residency at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, he served as a general and bariatric surgeon in the United States Army. Dr. Cronk has performed more than 750 bariatric stapling procedures. His clinical areas of expertise are bariatric laparoscopic surgery and adolescent bariatric surgery. He specializes in laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and has experience with the management of duodenal switch, and intragastric balloon placements surgeries. Prior to joining Erlanger, Dr. Cronk was the primary bariatric surgeon with the Methodist Bariatric Surgery Center in Omaha, NE.
