Dr. Kleinman received his Bachelor of Arts in engineering from Brown University. Prior to receiving his medical degree from Wright State University in 1982, he spent time as an exchange student in Israel. After medical school, he studied third world medicine in Ludhiana, India. Dr. Kleinman completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at Emory University, followed by a three-year fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the Medical College of Georgia, which was completed in 1989. While at the Medical College of Georgia, he served as chief fellow in Cardiovascular Disease and was also an assistant professor of medicine.
