Dr. Kohane joined New York Spine & Pain Physicians in 2013 when it merged with New York Pain Consultants. Dr. Kohane is known for his compassion and attentiveness towards his patients. He is exhaustive in his quest to find the optimal treatment for his patients.He developed a deep interest in musculoskeletal medicine during his medical school rotations in orthopedics, sports, and rehabilitation medicine. His residency training allowed him to learn various modalities in treating acute and chronic pain. He is an advocate of ongoing research in minimally invasive interventional pain techniques.Dr. Kohane attended Poznan University of Medical Sciences, in Poland, after graduating from the State University of New York at Binghamton, New York. After his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University Medical Center, New York, and upon completion of his internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai at Elmhurst Medical Center, New York, Dr. Kohane completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pennsylvania. He joined New York Pain Consultants in 2012.A native New Yorker, he is fluent in Polish and enjoys traveling, white water rafting and skiing.
