In July 1991 after completing his internship, residency and fellowship at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics he joined the practice of Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates. From 1996-1997 he was the President of the Northern Kentucky Medical Society. Dr Fagel was named Teacher of the Year for St Elizabeth Medical Center Family Practice Center for the years 1996-1997, 1999-2000 and 2001-2002 Dr Fagel belongs to many professional societies including American Gastroenterological Association, Gastrointestinal Videoendoscopy Association of America, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.
