Dr. Morse graduated from Yale University and received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina with a medical internship at the University of Massachusetts and a residency at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital. Following her residency, she performed a Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Fellowship at the Riley Children's Hospital of Indiana University.
Since moving to New Hampshire in 1991, she served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon until 2000.
She has been a member of the New Hampshire Sight and Hearing Foundation Physician's Advisory Committee, the New England Ophthalmological Society, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the International Strabistological Association, the NH Medical Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Morse is frequently asked to speak on pediatric ophthalmology issues throughout New England. She serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Ethics Committee of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Practicing Ophthalmology Advisory Committee on Education for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Morse is the current president of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and Women in Ophthalmology. She received the Secretariat award and an honor award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2006.
