Dr. Macedonia is passionate about taking care of families with both high-risk and routine pregnancies.
His interest in perinatology began when his wife had to be followed by an MFM specialist during her own pregnancy.
His journey in medicine began at Bucknell University, where he received a BS in Chemistry and was commissioned as a US Army officer.
After graduating, he spent 3 years as an Army medical platoon leader.
He then entered medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, followed by a 4-year obstetrics residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. He completed his specialty fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Georgetown University.
As an Explorers Club member, he served as the expedition doctor for 2 missions to Mount Everest and one to the site of the Titanic wreck.
A disabled veteran himself, he will accompany wounded warriors to Mount Kilimanjaro in 2023 to ensure they have medical care.
Dr. Macedonia has been married for 36 years and has 3 adult children and 3 dogs. In his free time, he enjoys working on the farm, hiking, and traveling.
He started Lancaster Maternal Fetal Medicine with his partner, Dr. Robert Larkin, because he strongly believes that the highest quality perinatal care should be available to everyone, no matter what.
