Information about Charles R. Glosson D.M.D.
Dr. Charles Glosson was born and raised in Philadelphia. He earned a B.S. degree in biology (magna cum laude) from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1980. In 1984, he was awarded his doctor of dental medicine degree from Temple University. After dental school, he entered the U.S. Navy and completed a one year General Practice Residency at the Naval Hospital, Oakland, California. After three years of naval service, he switched branches of the military and was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps.
In 1994, Dr. Glosson completed his endodontic post-graduate training at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He served as Chief of Endodontics at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, he relocated to Orlando and joined Central Florida Endodontics. He was then certified by the American Board of Endodontics in 1998.
He has taught endodontics in three different programs: The University of Texas, San Antonio; Eglin Air Force Base and the University of Florida residency program at Apopka. Dr. Glosson has served on the Board of Directors for the Dental Society of Greater Orlando as the public relations director since 2005. He was appointed the school resource dentist for Orange and Seminole County School Districts in 2006.
Other community involvement includes: Dental Care Access Foundation, United Dental Charities, Florida Special Olympics and the St. Stephen Church Men’s Club. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Dental Society of Greater Orlando and the Mid-Florida Dental Study Group. His outside interests include: long distance cycling, photography, travel and home improvement projects.
