Dr. Gelnar was born and raised in Oklahoma. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He obtained his medical degree from the Oklahoma School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he served as Chief Surgery Resident. Dr. Gelnar also served as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. Dr. Gelnar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has been honored as an Edmond Medical Center Physician of the Year and a Mercy Health Center Consultant of the Year. Dr. Gelnar has an excellent rapport with his patients and is respected and trusted by referring physicians and hospital staff for his commitment to care and dedication to his patients.
