Dr. Charles D. Wilburn began his career in medicine by attending David Lipscomb University where he received his undergraduatedegree, a B.S. in chemistry (1972). Dr. Wilburn received his medical doctorate from the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis (1976). He practiced at Centerville Medical Center in Centerville (1976-1977). Dr. Wilburn completed his internshipat Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN and later completed his residency at Baroness Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga,TN (1978-1982). Dr. Wilburn is active in both civic and professional organizations and is a member of the following societies:

He is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
