Board-certified in osteopathic medicine, Dr. McKenzie specializes in vascular and general surgery. He received his bachelor of science in biology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla. Dr. McKenzie holds a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Okla. He completed an internship and residency in general surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y. Dr. McKenzie also completed general surgery residencies at Lincoln Hospital Trauma Center and Montefiore Medical Center, also in Bronx. In addition, he completed residencies in general surgery at the Babies & Children’s Hospital of New York in New York City, N.Y., as well as at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. Dr. McKenzie also completed a fellowship in vascular surgery from the Cleveland Vascular Institute in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. McKenzie is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, New York Society of Osteopathic Physicians, American Osteopathic Association and Cleveland Vascular Society. Additionally, he is a founding member and director of Physicians for Humanity.
