Dr. Carol Smith is originally from Memphis Tennessee and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. She completed her Residency at the University of Tennessee/LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center and her Fellowship training in the Allergy & Clinical Immunology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
Dr. Smith is a diplomate of The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and The American Board of Pediatrics, making her Board Certified to treat children and adults for allergy, asthma, and immunologic problems.
She is an active supporter of the American Lung Association, where she has served as Medical Chairperson for their Annual Asthma Walk and has been active in Camp Wheeze-Away. She has served three years as an officer of the Alabama Society of Allergy and Immunology.
Additionally, Dr. Smith enjoys participating in local and state initiatives to advance public education in pediatric and adult Asthma and Allergic Disease.
