Dr. Moore is board certified in Internal Medicine-cardiovascular disease. After earning his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia, he received additional training through internship in Internal Medicine at University of Alabama Hospital, a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Alabama Hospital. He also did a fellowship in Adult Cardiovascular Disease at University of Virginia and remained at UVA as an Assistant professor in Cardiology until moving to Lynchburg to help start a dedicated Cardiology practice with Dr. Brown and Nygaard. He is Professor Emeritus of Cardiology, Director of post graduate education, and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Director for Centra Heart and Vascular Institute. He loves caring for the Lynchburg community because it is an honor and pleasure to help those afflicted with heart disease to live a longer and happier life. When he is not providing care at the Heart and Vascular Institute, he likes to spend his time with family, friends, and enjoying outdoor sports as well as teaching young healthcare providers.
