Dr. Burton Singerman is a psychiatrist with over 36 years of experience in a wide range of psychiatric disorders and psychiatric leadership. Educated at Harvard Medical School and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, He obtained both an M.D. and a Master of Public Health. Their training includes residencies at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Maudsley Hospital in London, as well as a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Dr. Singerman greatly values the development of mutual trust in the partnership between psychiatrist and client, believing that progress is unlikely without it. They have received extensive training in research-based pharmacologic treatments for various psychiatric disorders and in multiple psychotherapeutic techniques, which enables them to tailor strategies to the unique backgrounds and goals of their clients. Their expertise encompasses treating mood and anxiety disorders, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder.
Having served as the head of three academic psychiatry departments, Dr. Singerman has taught psychiatric disorders and their treatment to numerous psychiatric residents and medical students.
