Tonner Meet Dr. Gary Ahasic Meet Dr. Michele Bruno Meet Dr. Larry Sexton Meet Dr. Brian Tonner â€œI love being a dentist.Â I look forward to each day knowing Iâ€™m going to spend time with great patients and a wonderful staff.Â It is my goal to make everyone as comfortable as possible and help patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles.Â It is great to be in the â€˜smileâ€™ business.â€ Dr. Brian Tonner has practiced at Fairview Dental since 1988.Â He graduated from Wabash in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology.Â He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University in 1988.Â He is certified in both Invisalign and Lumineers technique. Dr. Tonner is active in the Aurora Community.Â He volunteers his time with Kiwanis, Boy Scouts, The Compassion Foundation and his church. In 2009, he was co-chairman of the capital campaign for St. Katharine Drexel Parish to build a new church and parish center.Â In 2008, he was awarded the â€œHidden Hero of Kane Countyâ€ by the Kane County Health Department for co-founding the Dentist with a Heart program with Dr. Ahasic.Â In 2006 he received the Fr. Joe Muller award from the Compassion Foundation for service to Aurora community.Â In the same year he was awarded the Hixson Award for outstanding community service by Kiwanis.Â He was given the Community Participation Silver Star award by Two Rivers Head Start in 2003 for providing dental care for the needy in Kane County.Â He also participates in Donated Dental Service and the Dentist with a Heart programs that provide free dental care to the needy.Â He is a staff dentist with Bethesda Lutheran Homes that serve individuals with disabilities. Dr. Tonner is a member of the American Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society, the Fox River Valley Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the Aurora Dental Society.Â He served as president of the Aurora Dental Society from 1993 to 1994, and president of the Fox River Dental Society from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Tonnerâ€™s interests outside of dentistry include enjoying time with his family especially his sonâ€™s basketball and lacrosse games.Â An Eagle Scout himself and currently Scoutmaster, he enjoys camping with his sonâ€™s Boy Scout troop.Â Dr. Tonner is a top age-group triathlete; 8 time marathoner including Boston in 2010 and a 2 time Ironman finisher in 2005 and 2009.Â He enjoys getting muddy off road with his Jeep and he makes a wicked chicken pepperoni.Â Dr. Tonner resides in Sugar Grove with his wife Lisa and their three children; Megan, Mary, and Sam.
