Brief Intro

Dr. W R. Beaver received his Bachelor of Science degree and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee. After a surgical internship and one year of surgical residency at the University of Michigan, he served in the United States Army in Nurnburg, Germany and completed his fellowship in orthopaedic surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Quillen College of Medicine. He has over 25 years surgical experience in joint replacements, and is a member of the AOA Honorary Medical Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Beaver has also served as Chairman of the Medical Staff at the Medical Center and has served one term on the Board of the Johnson City Medical Center. He is also an orthopaedic consultant at the VA Medical Center. Dr. Beaver and his wife, Betsy, have been married 39 years. They have lived in Johnson City for 28 years and have 4 grown children.
