Brian Matteson, MD, FACS is a vascular surgeon who specializes in carotid artery disease, aortic and peripheral aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, hemodialysis access, varicose vein treatment, and minimally invasive endovascular and open surgical modalities. He is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Matteson earned his bachelor's degree in physiology from the University of Minnesota, where he also earned his medical degree. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of New Mexico and his fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Utah. He completed a mini-fellowship in endovascular surgery and served as assistant professor of surgery at the University of New Mexico. He joined Cardiothoracic & Vascular Associates in 2005.
