Dr. Lawrence is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Utah specializing in Spine Surgery. Dr. Lawrence focuses his practice in degenerative and traumatic conditions of the spine including the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. His primary clinical interests are cervical spine disorders as well as spinal deformity and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Lawrence’s research interests are centered on spinal biomechanics, improving fusion technologies and patient outcome related research.
Dr. Lawrence grew up in Vermont. He attended medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical honor Society. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Lawrence completed his fellowship training in Spinal Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine under the direction of Dr. Darrel S. Brodke. Dr. Lawrence will practice at the University Orthopaedic Center and Redstone Clinic in Park City. He will operate at the University Orthopaedic Center and at the University Health Sciences Center in Salt Lake City.
