Dr. Bradley Black has practiced pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus in Baton Rouge since 1982. He graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge and the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco and fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute in San Francisco and the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Dr. Black is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and is a member of the American Ophthalmological Society. He is a past president of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS) and has received the Honor Award from AAPOS and the Secretariat Award from AAO. He has served on the boards of directors of AAPOS, the Childrens Eye Foundation, and the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute and is currently on the Medical Advisory Board of Orbis Telemedicine Cybersight in New York City. Dr. Black is active in international ophthalmology and has taught and performed pediatric eye surgery in more than thirty countries.
