Dr. Andersen is a Cache Valley native. He graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in 1977 with Cum laude' Honors. He attended the University of Utah Medical School graduating in 1981 with his Doctor of Medicine. His General Surgery residency took place at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan from 1982 to 1987. He then completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at the Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan from 1987 to 1989. He has over 2000 hours accumulated in Continuing Medical Education credits.
