Brief Intro

I have been married to the former Sandra Nobles of Clinton for 39 years. We have two children and one grandchild. After graduation from UMMC SOM here in 1976 I completed a UMMC Family Medicine Residency in 1979 and joined a family practice group in Starkville, MS. In 1981, I felt directed into a career missionary appointment with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board and served in Ghana, West Africa from 1982 to 1984. I had to leave Ghana due to a blood clot in my leg and came back to UMMC in 1985 on faculty in the Family Medicine Residency for 12 years. After three years in a hospital-based clinic with St. Dominic Hospital I came back on UMMC Faculty in Pediatric Infectious Diseases as a full-time consultant for HIV in pregnancy, my current position.
