Dr. Brooks will provide medical coverage in the Family Medicine Department during the summer months while on hiatus from her humanitarian work in Afghanistan. Originally from Cedarville, Ohio, Dr. Beverly Brooks received her B.S. in Science at Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Rootstown, Ohio. Her residency in Family Medicine was done at Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Dr. Brooks has worked in Afghanistan since 2000. She has also provided medical care in Tajikistan and Nepal. Dr. Brooks is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Christian Medical Society. Dr. Brooks and her husband, David, have two children.
