Bethany Markowitz, MD, is a board certified ophthalmologist. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at Palmetto Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Her interests include cataract extraction with premium intraocular lens (IOL) implantation, medical and laser treatment of glaucoma and surgical management of ocular surface disease. Dr. Markowitz also serves as the director of the ophthalmology residency program at Palmetto Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine and has a passion for the education of residencts and medical students.
