Dr. Montesano received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from New York University in 1977. She then earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1981. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency training at North Shore University Hospital, the teaching center of Cornell University Medical School, in 1985.
Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Montesano is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She also completed a Galloway fellowship at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital. Other professional credentials include membership in the Fairfield County Medical Association, the Danbury Medical Society and the Hellenic Medical Society. Dr. Montesano joined Physicians for Women in 1985.
