Dr. Bert Sumikawa Dr. Bert received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, and continued on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Marquette University, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his pediatric dentistry residency and received his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry from the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin before returning to Honolulu to enter private practice. Dr. Bert has earned the honor of Fellow of the American College of Dentists, as well as Fellow and Master of the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He is a past President of the Honolulu County Dental Society, and serves on various dental advisory committees. Dr. Bert is also a volunteer faculty in pediatric dentistry at the Lutheran Medical College, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, based out of the Kokua Kalihi Valley Dental Clinic. Recently, Dr. Bert was ordained in the Hongwanji sect of Buddhism and is currently assigned to the Kailua Hongwanji Temple. Dr. David Sumikawa
