Dr. Golub earned his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Irvine and received his M.D. at Stanford University. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York and Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Golub's Vitreoretinal Fellowship was also completed at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. He has authored several scientific papers related to retinal disease and joined Long Island and Queens Vitreoretinal Consultants P.C. in 1990.
Dr. Golub is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, Medical Society of the State of New York, Suffolk County Medical Society, Suffolk County Ophthalmological Society, the Long Island and New York State Ophthalmologic Societies, and American Society of Retinal Specialists. He is a past president of the Suffolk County Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Golub is a fellow of the the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He holds a faculty appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and is board certified in Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine.
Widely respected by peers and patients alike, Dr. Golub is well known for the expertise, sensitivity and patient skills that he brings to each patient encounter. Dr. Golub is involved in the resident training programs of local hospitals.
