Upon graduating from medical school, I moved to New York to begin my surgical residency. Shortly after finishing my training in New York, my family and I moved to Los Angeles and I began my surgical career at Kaiser Permanente. About my practice When deciding where to begin my career, several things about Kaiser Permanente appealed to me, one being its unique model of integrated care. This distinctive and collaborative system where managing patient care truly comes first is the main reason that I have stayed with Kaiser Permanente since 1980. I have been fortunate to fill many roles over the years at Kaiser Permanente. Since 1981 I have been training surgical residents from UCLA. I am an assistant clinical professor at UCLA. Since 1999, I have served as chief of surgery in Panorama City. In my many years here, I have had the opportunity to practice all aspects of general surgery, including laparoscopic and open surgeries. I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and always strive to provide them with best possible care. How I thrive I enjoy traveling, and I stay healthy by walking and using stairs.
