Dr. Ferneini is Section Chief of Vascular Surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael, and medical director of the St. Raphael Wound Care Center. Dr. Ferneini is also a fellow of the American college of Surgeons and boarded in vascular surgery. Dr. Ferneini attended medical school at the University of Massachusetts and performed his post graduate training in general surgery, at the Hospital of St. Raphael and UMDNJ Hospital in Newark, NJ. He was also chief resident of general surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Dr. Ferneini continued his vascular training at McGill University. In 2000, Dr. Ferneini performed the first Endovascular Abdominal Aneurysm Repair at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Along with his many achievement awards, Dr. Ferneini was presented an award for "Outstanding Teaching in the Operating Room and beyond" from the Hospital of St. Raphael. He is well published and he attributes his success to his compassion and love for his patient.
