I was born and raised in East Los Angeles and attended local public schools. When Los Angeles began to feel too crowded, I moved to the beautiful Northwest. I met my husband, , on a bicycling trip I took in Washington state. I went into medicine to help improve the health and lives of my patients. I also advocate for women_s reproductive health rights and have been active with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Working in an integrated health system here at Kaiser Permanente is truly a gift; it offers so much to help put patients on the path to well-being and good health.
