Dr. Batra is the Division Chief at UC Irvine Pediatric Cardiology and the Medical Director of Electrophysiology at the CHOC Heart Institute. He has also been appointed Professor and Vice Chair of Clinical Pediatrics in the School of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Batra attended medical school at Ohio State University and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Batra is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics with a sub-board in Pediatric Cardiology as well as being a testamur in the NASPE EXAM for cardiac pacing. He is interested in electrophysiology, specifically arrhythmia management and device implantation. His research and scientific findings are reflected in over 40 publications in prestigious national journals and text books. Dr. Batra also speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Spanish.
