Dr. Kanellos completed both medical school and his urology residency training at the University of Southern California in 1992 after graduating from University of Nevada, Reno. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology, and has recently been trained in the da Vinci robotic system, a minimally invasive surgical tool in the treatment of many urologic diseases. His current clinical interests include both prostate and kidney cancer. Dr. Kanellos was raised in Reno, and returned to the area to begin his practice and raise his family. He is married and has two teenage children. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, cycling, and trips to wine country.
